Eta leadership is once again tested upon the revival of an institution-based alumni association of Alpha Phi Omega at the Philippines’ House of Representatives.

The newly revived APO Congress, agreed as APO House of Representatives or APO HRep, is an alumni association of brothers and sisters, young and old, working at the Batasan Complex.

During its First Organizational Meeting and Planning on October 15, 2008, Etans were at the forefront of leading this organization. Brod LtCol Isabelito “Sab” P. Flores ’80, Executive Director/ Assistant Sergeant-at-Arms of the Legislative Security Bureau was elected President of APO HRep.

Two other Etans completed the list of officers. Brod Joselito Narciso “Capa” B. Capariño ’01 (Legislative Staff Assistant to the Office of Executive Director Flores) and Sis Pauline “Popi” D. de Dios ’72 (Chief-of Staff of Hon. Roberto V. Puno) assumed the positions of Secretary and Treasurer, respectively.

APO HRep was conceived to gather and consolidate the ranks of brothers and sisters in the House of Representatives in pursuit of a mission to better serve the institution and the rest of Philippine society.
