The 31st running of the Bank of America Chicago Marathon is in the books. A total of 33,250 participants started the 26.2-mile run on the streets of Chicago and 31,337 reached the finish line-an impressive completion rate of more than 94 percent!
Participants, volunteers and spectators came together to deliver one of the most successful days in the history of the event. Two new champions were crowned, as Kenya’s Evans Cheruiyot and Russia’s Lidiya Grigoryeva triumphed over highly competitive elite fields in the men’s and women’s races, respectively. Thousands of others achieved their own personal goals by reaching the finish line in Grant Park, conquering both the distance and the weather.
The Bank of America Chicago Marathon and the Illinois Chapter of the American Liver Foundation would like to congratulate each Run for Research Team Member for their impressive dedication and preparation, and their willingness to adjust to the conditions of the day to complete a truly historic event.
A big round of applause for those Run for Research Team Members that successfully completed the Marathon!

Fundraising
We have not reached the finish line yet…There is still some more work to do to reach our projected Team fundraising goal.
If you have not reached your fundraising minimum, I encourage you to continue raising funds for this very worthy cause. If you need additional help with your campaign, I would be happy to be of assistance to you. Your help and dedication are truly appreciated.
Because of the funds that you generate for our cause, we are able to fund research, education and advocacy for those affected by a liver-related disease.
